Practice Description
KK&P is an arbitration and litigation boutique based in Moscow. The firm is led by Maxim Kulkov, who left Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s Moscow office, where he headed the disputes team, to become the managing partner of the firm. The team also includes most of the other dispute resolution lawyers from Freshfields’s Moscow office. The new firm therefore comprises highly-experienced individuals with market-leading litigation, arbitration and investigatory backgrounds. We are already working on some major projects, including representing English court-appointed receivers in numerous litigation proceedings related to recovery of significant dissipated assets, defending one of the largest Russian state corporations in an international commercial arbitration, and representing one of the leading railcar operating lessors in a commercial court. Our team has extensive experience in international arbitration and litigation. We have represented clients in all major arbitral institutions (LCIA, ICC, SCC and ICAC) and Russian commercial courts, and have assisted with proceedings in various jurisdictions (England, Germany, Cyprus, Belgium, BVI and others). Our clients will benefit from a dedicated and focused team with a partner’s active involvement from start to finish. We believe that a smaller structure and narrow specialisation will enable us to achieve greater flexibility in staffing and pricing and avoid conflicts of interest.
